The Position

Applications are invited to apply for the position of Industrial Painter based at our SARVAL Ltd, Nottingham site. This is a full time, permanent position, working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The working hours are 6.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 6.00am - 2.00pm on a Friday.

As an Industrial Painter your primary role is to apply protective coatings or decorative finishes to surfaces such as machinery, equipment, infrastructure, buildings, and other industrial structures. Your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • Carrying out various industrial painting tasks as instructed by the management team in accordance with the required specifications.
  • Must be able to carry out all aspects of industrial painting, including spraying of industrial metal.
  • To be able to work at height in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Ensure accurate and desired finishes for each project.
  • Liaise with site manager to identify and discuss work required.
  • Good knowledge of industrial products and equipment within the trade.
  • Maintain stock levels and order paint for the site, when required.
  • Be responsible for health and safety considerations in respect of the work being completed, along with adhering to site health and safety rules / procedures. 

Requirements

  • A recognised painting qualification is desirable, such as ICATS (or other qualifications may be considered), depending on experience.
  • Experience within an industrial painting role (at least 2 years preferably).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to follow instructions accurately and fully.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
  • Self-motivated to organise workload and achieve deadlines.
  • Be able to work effectively both within a team and independently.
  • Methodical approach with good attention to detail.
  • Be flexible with working hours.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
