Our client seeks an Information Governance Officer to join our Quality, Safety, and Governance team who has previous experience in the Health Care Industry. In this vital role, you will support the Executive team and the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure ongoing compliance with Information Governance (IG) frameworks and data protection regulations. You will be responsible for managing audits, providing support to staff on IG matters, and assisting with the development of action plans to ensure data-handling practices meet the highest standards. Our client is paying £200 per day, outside IR 35 on a fully remote contract for 9 months.
Assist in the implementation of the Information Governance (IG) Framework, GDPR work plans, and related regulations.
Ensure compliance with IG requirements, including supporting the handling of personal and sensitive data to safeguard patient care.
Provide IG support to staff, facilitating necessary training and resources for compliance.
Conduct audits and spot checks across localities to ensure adherence to IG policies and procedures.
Assist with data/information flow mapping across the organization, identifying risks, and guiding managers on risk mitigation.
Manage and draft essential documents such as Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Data
Key Skills:
Experience working within the NHS or Healthcare Sector is a must have.
Strong understanding of Information Governance, Data Protection, and Freedom of Information legislation.
Experience in compliance, audit principles, and risk management.
Professional qualification in records management, information legislation, or a related area.
Knowledge of clinical governance and data sharing agreements.
Familiarity with the NHS structure and key relationships between healthcare organizations.
