Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) X2

Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days on-site)

Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension)

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate:£300 - £400 - DOE (OUTSIDE of IR35)

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join my clients team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems.
  • Implement security measures to protect data and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Document infrastructure configurations and changes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of network architectures and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
  • Experience with server and network hardware, software, and administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
