The Position

Applications are invited for an Ingredients Storage Operative to join our Operations department at our SARVAL site in Colsterworth. This is a permanent, full-time position. The working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As an Ingredients Storage Operative your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • To provide a manual and hands on approach to the monitoring and maintenance of the storage facility operations for the intake, handling and dispatching of products, including ancillary items (packaging, stationery, and chemicals etc.)
  • To operate the plant and machinery in order to manage stock rotation, receipt, and dispatch of products, including the weighbridge function.
  • To monitor Health and Safety within the workplace for SARVAL and all 3rd party staff.
  • Be able to follow instruction to ensure that products are ready to be dispatched as scheduled.
  • To maintain basic administrative functions.
  • To collect samples for analysis at both internal and external laboratories.
  • Provide assistance to maintain accurate and auditable stock control records.
  • To undertake general housekeeping duties and ensure that the premises are secure at all times.
  • To remain complaint in regard to pest control and have knowledge of Working Standards.
  • To successfully liaise with the Storage Coordinator, along with internal and external contacts as required.
  • To assist the Storage Coordinator to provide accurate record/report keeping.
  • To follow instruction to control the intake and dispatch schedules.

The Person

  • Previous experience working in manual / labour intensive position is essential.
  • Good formal education.
  • Good written and oral skills.
  • Flexible, hard working and able to work under own initiative.
  • Previous experience with administrative duties would be advantageous.
  • Hold a full driving licence.
