Atkinson Moss have been engaged to assist this leading organisation with the appointment of an In HouseTax Manager. This is an incredible opportunity to join an established business and really add value to the role and therefore the wider company.

Are you currently thriving in an accountancy practice, specialising in Tax, but seeking to transition into an industry role? Join our clients dynamic team and leverage your expertise in a hands-on position where your skills will directly impact our clients business operations and growth.

Location: Can be fully remote (with expectation to be flexible in the need to on site a 1-2 of times a month when relevant - location Norwich).

Salary range: £65,000 to £72,500 (plus car/bonus etc)

Working Pattern:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Impact on Tax Compliance and Planning: Take charge of delivering timely, accurate, and reliable information for tax compliance, returns, submissions, and planning requirements.
  • Ensure Comprehensive Tax Compliance: Oversee compliance for all direct and indirect business taxes, ensuring we meet all regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with Expert Advisers: Work closely with third-party legal, audit, and tax advisers to address compliance and tax planning needs effectively.
  • Develop and Implement Tax Policies: Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to identify, develop, and maintain tax policies and procedures across our Group.
  • Participate in Strategic Decisions: Actively review markets, projects, business proposals, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures where tax considerations are critical.
  • Regular Reporting and Review: Compile and present regular reports on compliance and tax issues, and conduct thorough reviews of tax provisions.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Professional Certification: ACA or CTA qualified, or equivalent
  • Accounting Standards Knowledge: Proficient in tax accounting under FRS102 and IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous but not essential.
  • Corporate Tax Expertise: Extensive experience in Corporate Tax Compliance, Reporting, and Advisory.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong business partnering skills are crucial.
  • ERP Systems Proficiency: Experience with large ERP systems like Oracle or SAP is beneficial.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, take ownership, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
