Here's what you'll be doing

Join our team as the Innovation and Propositions Lead and embark on an exhilarating journey of developing cutting-edge concepts and propositions that will revolutionize the way cities operate. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact to society by delivering low carbon, sustainable, and resilient solutions that cater to the needs of City residents and businesses, while fostering the growth of new city partnerships.

As the Innovation and Propositions Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Unleashing your creativity: You will be at the forefront of developing innovative concepts and propositions that address the specific needs of the City. Your ideas will not only shape the transition but enhance quality of life, make clean energy affordable, create jobs and build resilient communities.
  • Forging strategic partnerships: You will actively seek opportunities to collaborate with local authorities and other third parties, forming powerful alliances to pilot and implement your innovative concepts. By working together, we can create a sustainable and thriving future for our cities.
  • Empowering communities: Your work will extend beyond technical solutions. You will identify funding opportunities that empower both residents and businesses within target city regions to embrace low carbon practices, ensuring a sustainable and resilient future for all.
  • Driving behavioural change: Collaboration is key to success. You will collaborate with our Social Value Lead and Partnership Lead to engage stakeholders and foster buy-in for our innovative solutions. Together, we will inspire behavioural change and create a lasting impact.
  • Embracing the digital revolution: In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, you will identify digital opportunities in collaboration with our E.ON Solution Strategy and Co-ordination Lead. By leveraging technology, we can unlock new possibilities and drive innovation to unprecedented heights.
  • Creating a playbook for success: You will work closely with key internal stakeholders, including the Solutions Strategy Coordination Lead, to develop a comprehensive proposition playbook for each city. This playbook will serve as a guide, ensuring consistency and excellence in our approach to city partnerships.
  • Co-creating with the City: Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. You will work closely with the City to identify suitable Council departments and other third parties within the City eco-system. Together, we will co-create and develop propositions and innovative solutions that will shape the future of urban living.

What we need from you

  • Extensive propositions development experience in development and delivery of low carbon infrastructure.
  • Proficient level of technical knowledge and insight into innovation and behavioural change to identify suitable areas for exploration.
  • Proven track record in working within large, complex projects.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and motivate and influence stakeholders, including senior management level and external businesses.
  • Strong collaborator who excels when working as part of a team.
  • Ability to present complex recommendations in a concise and engaging manner to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise, solve problems and work off own initiative to manage challenges.
  • Ability to identify value and lead the development of complex concepts.
  • Advanced MS Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
