Interim Deputy Director of Finance

Robertson Bell are working with an Education organisation in the West Midlands to recruit an Interim Deputy Director of Finance for an eight month contract. The role reports into the Director of Resources and is due to start in either in July or August. The main responsibilities of the Interim Deputy Director of Finance are:

• Manage the finance team (10+) on a day to day basis.
• Ensure the organisation has a smooth year end process and clean audit.
• Lead on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Liaise with other senior leaders in the organisation, providing high quality financial advice.
• Review current policies and procedures making recommendations for improvement.

The organisation has a passion and strong track record of mentoring staff and are looking for a Deputy Director of Finance who also enjoys and excels at this. The successful candidate will also:

• Be able to start the contract in either July or August.
• Be a qualified accountant.
• Have previous experience working within the education sector.
• Have been a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Deputy Director of Finance or Finance Director previously.
