Interim FC - 6 month contract

Our client is a successful and rapidly growing SME based in Doncaster. Renowned for their innovative approach and commitment to excellence, they are looking for a skilled Interim Financial Controller to join their team on a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.

The Role:

As the Interim Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports
• Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Overseeing the implementation of process and system improvements
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards
• Providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management
• Supporting the Finance Director with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis
• Leading a small team

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller / Finance Manager 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
