Our client, a leading and long-established Insurance Business in Leicestershire, is looking for an Management Accountant/Financial Controller for approx. 9 months (starting approx. August/September) to support the company and the CFO through the next exciting phase of its growth journey.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations
  • Maintain and improve strong finance governance and financial control environment
  • Challenge commercial business areas to maximise opportunities and ensure accountability
  • Provide commercial & strategic support and decision-making across the business especially looking at new areas of growth
  • Ensure the finance reporting is best in class, fully compliant and provides meaningful commentary for senior management
  • Continued development of a newly implemented IT System

Experience Includes:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience in insurance preferred
  • Technically very strong
  • Of an inquisitive nature to ensure you can identify areas of improvement and offer solutions
  • Confident and clear communicator with an ability to support senior management
  • Thrives in an environment of change

This is a temporary role for approximately 9 months. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and thrives in an environment of change. You will be a hands on and approachable finance team player, with a dedication to ensuring the finance function is working at its best. You will be an ambitious and driven self-starter, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. This role is office-based and will be required from approx. August or September for approximately 9 months.
