Interim Finance Director

Location: Central London with a flexible WFH policy

Duration: 6 months (Potential temp-to-perm)

Salary: £150-175k, depending on experience

Consumer Additions has partnered exclusively with a global leading £200m turnover luxury retail business to recruit an interim Finance Director for 6-months to cover whilst they recruit permanently. Naturally, if interested, the interim could be considered for the permanent opportunity.

The role will ensure that the business operates with financial coherence and that the senior leaders and stakeholders have a transparent view of how the business is performing. The role will provide both partnership and challenge in order to maximise performance.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring the finance team as well as maintaining external relationships with key service providers.
• Weekly, monthly and annual reporting and presenting to the Board
• Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Cash management and working capital responsibility
• Ensuring effective internal controls and procedures are in place regarding regulatory standards for financial and tax reporting
• Ongoing development of financial systems and reporting of management information
• Strategically advice on all property, commercial and capex projects/decisions.

Requirements:

• A qualified accountant with experience in similar sized retail environment.
• An authentic and empathetic people leader.
• Proven senior experience in P&L ownership and financial planning.
• Strong commercial acumen, with an ability to influence strategic business decisions, keeping the financial health of the business front of mind.
• Self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong team player with the ability to interact and effectively communicate with those outside of Finance teams to deliver preferred outcomes.
