Role Overview:

The Outsourcing Engagement Lead is responsible for ensuring all outsourced Finance operational processes and systems deliver against agreed requirements. The role is to provide 'real time' support and analysis, to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making relating to outsourced services, continuously improving operational processes that feed to and from the Convex Finance teams.

Relationship management skills are critical to success, as is an ability to synthesise change requirements and prioritise recommendations based on a comprehensive understanding of quality, risk, timeliness and cost dynamics. It is this mix of analytical, commercial and communication skills which are at the heart of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively influence the definition and adoption of outsourced business processes and systems in the Finance teams
  • Act as the primary day to day interface between the Finance teams and the outsourcing provider in respect of outsourced services, providing regular and impactful communication on all aspects of delivery.
  • As may be required in relation to outsourced activities, act as the interface between the client and outsourcing provider and external solution providers (e.g. software providers)
  • Interpret and assess outsource performance in the operational Finance domain, proactively identifying future risks or opportunities
  • Ensure a continuous and comprehensive understanding of all outsourced Finance processes, controls, reporting and system configuration
  • Manage or support other key client outsourcing providers as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a BPO, or working on behalf of a client managing relationships and projects with outsourcing providers.
  • Experienced managing relationships with difficult stakeholders relating to outsourcing providers.
  • Insurance or Financial Services experience is ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience of designing and implementing process improvements with pragmatism and speed of execution.
