Interim Financial Accountant - FMCG

£450p/d Inside IR35

Central London (Hybrid)

A fast growth FMCG business are seeking a talented and dynamic individual to join their finance team during a busy period of the year for them as an Interim Financial Accountant. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a rapidly growing company located in the heart of London, ideal for anyone who is immediately available and looking for their next step. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Month-end and Year-end Closing: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations. Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and provide explanations for variances
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, operations, and executive management. Provide financial advice, guidance, and reporting to support strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with 2+ years PQE 
  • previous experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably within the FMCG/Retail industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (UK GAAP, IFRS).
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience working with NetSuite is a bonus
