Apointe is thrilled to support a recent merger in the dynamic cloud services and solutions space by finding an interim Financial Accountant! They are on the lookout for an Interim Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis. If you have a strong background in practice, statutory reporting, audit, and compliance, and possess sharp analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP FRS102.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and have acquisition accounting knowledge
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive accounting papers to support financial statement disclosures.
  • Contribute towards the end-to-end audit process, including coordination with external auditors, and timely completion of audit deliverables.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as required.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting.
  • Proven experience in a similar interim or contract role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and the ability to work with complex financial models.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Day rate: £325-£375 per day.
