Excellent opportunity to join a Local Authority in Essex within their Estates and Asset Management team as a GIS and Records Technician on a temporary basis. You will be joining an experienced and friendly team with real passion for property and delivering excellent customer service. This opportunity is offered on a three-month contract basis. Hybrid working is available.
Your new role
As the Interim GIS and Records Technician, you will provide comprehensive GIS service and database support for the Estates and Asset Management team. As part of this role, you will provide maps, plans and site data to support projects and legal transactions and in particular provide Land Registry compliant plans. This can include freehold and leasehold disposals and acquisitions, easements, rights of way and flying freeholds. You will also work alongside the Estates team to develop and review the electronic property records service to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you should have previous experience of using GIS mapping systems and OS maps. You should also have experience of using databases, for example updating property systems. You should be able to demonstrate good attention to detail and be competent working as part of a team. You should live within commutable distance of Essex.
