Our Client

We are working with a growing, luxury retail business in need of a part time Interim Group Financial Accountant for a 3 month contract while they wait for a permanent candidate to begin the role. Candidates MUST have experience in retail / stock / inventory / fixed assets, and be looking for a part time, 2 day per week role.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly statutory management accounts in accordance with FRS102 and month end checklist
  • Preparation and review of the Monthly Balance sheet reconciliation inclusive of inventory, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments among others.
  • Preparation of Year end trial balance, with oversight of the statutory accounts preparation with external 3rd party.
  • Assistance with planning and coordination of the annual external audit, being the main point of contact for the auditors.
  • Oversight of accounts payable function, including review of weekly payments
  • Quarterly UK VAT submission and oversight of import/export VAT

Requirements

  • ACCA / ACA or equivalent, with Up-to 4 years PQE in retail fashion / e-commerce / other retail or wholesale experience
  • Excellent Excel and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to solve problems logically and set out workpapers in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborative approach to working and an ability to build strong relationships with senior commercial, financial and legal partners

What's On Offer

  • Daily rate of up to £350 per day inside IR35 via an umbrella company
  • Immediate start
  • Part time role, 2 days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday in the Central London office)
  • 3 month, part time contract role
