Interim Group Head of Finance

SF Recruitment are currently supporting a fantastic Staffordshire based charity to recruit an interim Group Head of Finance. The Group Head of Finance will assist the Director of Finance & Operations in managing all aspects of financial control and reporting within the organisation and in communication with senior management.

This is expected to be minimum 6 month assignment with the potential for extension/permanent opportunities.

- Membership of the Senior Management Team (SMT), with the ability to participate and contribute to the leadership discussion held, and support SMT peers with all aspects of operational financial
management at a departmental level.
- Lead and develop a high performing FBP orientated team that provides finance support and challenge across St Giles' operations and ensures achievement of key goals and priorities
- Provide practical and supportive on the ground mentorship to part qualified accountants within the team.
- Lead the production of the monthly management accounts for both the Hospice and it's two trading subsidiaries: St Giles Retail and St Giles Lottery
- Deliver timely, high quality management information to managers in the organisation including the Executive Team and Deputy Directors.
- Contribution to the reporting, analysis of and commentary on the Hospice Group's financial performance, both in finance reports and documents and for inclusion in consolidated
accounts and at Trustee Board meetngs.
- Drive financial ownership, accountability and understanding across the organisation by ensuring operational budget owners have the knowledge, skills, and tools to manage their
budgets effectively
- Ensure effective financial business partnering is underpinned by effective processes and guidance.
- Successfully embed the newly implemented Sage Intacct finance system, leveraging efficiencies and providing value-add data across the Group
