This role is for an Interim Head of Finance, seeking an experienced individual to oversee the financial operations within a well-established public sector institution located in Merseyside.

Description

  • Oversee all financial operations
  • Ensure financial compliance with governmental regulations
  • Develop and implement financial strategies for the institution
  • Manage a team of financial professionals
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board
  • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline procedures

Profile

A successful Interim Head of Finance should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field
  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the public sector
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and procedures
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in financial software
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
