Position: Interim Head of Transactional Finance
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Salary: Up to £75,000 p/a
Start Date: As soon as possibile

Are you a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in transactional finance, overseeing AP/AR/Cash/Banking? Trinity House Group is working with a high-turnover business operating business in Birmingham City Centre to hire a Head of Transactional Finance on a 12-month contract.

Role Overview:

  • Lead and manage the transactional finance team, ensuring high performance and development.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement best practices and process improvements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and support during system upgrades and implementations.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is desirable but NOT ESSENTIAL.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a high-turnover business.
  • Strong knowledge of transactional finance, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and implement improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
