The role requires on site presence 2-3 times a week based in Aberdeen, with guidance and support from line manager efficiently support IT function and holistically manage this spend sub-category from C&P perspective, which includes sourcing strategy, contract management, supplier relationship management, management of existing contract portfolio, spend analysis and related P2P process. Specifically, the successful candidate will be instrumental in managing the following projects/activities

  • Maintaining existing global contract portfolio and coordinate activities to ensure that contract extensions and purchase orders are timeously placed in order to support ongoing activities and ensure continuous and seamless coverage of IT services, i.e. Business As Usual
  • Re-negotiating and putting in place contractual arrangements (amendments to global contracts)
  • Re-negotiating and putting place contractual arrangements (amendments to global contracts)
  • Re-negotiating and/or terminating, and/or putting in place new arrangements to ensure smooth integration within contract portfolio
  • Ensuring Company is not exposed to unnecessary contractual or commercial risk

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion HSE in all contracting and procurement activities
  • Be responsible for implementation of the business Standards, work processes and best practices across all countries and within the IT and Indirects categories with support to other categories as required.
  • Plan, conduct and conclude complex contract negotiations.
  • Prepare detailed Recommendation to Award papers and presentations where required
  • Draft agreements using standard templates
  • Contract management from kick off to close out
  • Facilitate P2P process and creating and issuing Purchase Orders as required.
  • Develop and implement supplier performance and relationship management plans

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL INTERFACES

  • Relevant industry organisations/bodies/authorities
  • All functions and departments represented
  • Contractors, Suppliers, Consultants of all tiers, as required.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / PROFILE

  • 5+ years of experience in contracts and procurement
  • University degree qualification, plus professionally qualification, e.g. CIPS
  • Knowledge of IT sub-category (e.g. products, vendors, remuneration models)
  • Experience of managing IT contracts through M&A activities, organisation changes, etc. is preferable
  • Category management experience and familiarity with Indirects category is preferable
  • Proven ability to communicate with different sets of stakeholder in geographically diverse environment
  • Developed communication skills to present complicated issues in an understandable way and to influence others to ensure compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP, Power BI, e-sourcing systems
