Interim Management Accountant

Paying between £45-£55K (Day Rate Equivalent), we are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant for this social housing provider based in South Manchester. This role offers a wide variety of experiences as project management accounting support.

Projects include:  mapping the Management Accounts to a new accounting tool; reviewing new Service Charges to be implemented for the first time; and incorporates an all-round management accounts BAU support role acting as a Finance Business Partner alongside the Finance Manager. 

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will use your substantial management accounts expertise to act as a Finance Business Partner to the operations and support the various projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in project mapping for new data analysis tools
• Project manage the set-up of new service charges and associated reconciliations
• Preparation of financial & management accounts
• Provide high-quality financial information to enable effective management control of budgets
• Financial modelling and support strategic decision-making
• Be a proactive champion of continual development and process improvement

THE PERSON

• You will be an experienced Management Accountant, with strong Excel and integrated finance /ERP systems skills
• An understanding or work experience gained in the social housing sector is beneficial but not essential
• You will be a natural communicator and be able to work collaboratively as part of the wider management accounting/finance team
• Experience of working in a complex financial environment and being able to start immediately or with very short notice
• This is a Hybrid role so you must be able to work in the South Manchester office 2-3 days per week.
