Interim Procurement Manager | £450 per day | Hybrid | Public Sector

Castlefield Recruitment are currently partnering with a Public Sector organisation based in the North-East, recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join on a temporary basis.

This organisation operates a hybrid working policy. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team. This position would be ideally suited to an individual with an extensive understanding of the procurement lifecycle, PFI knowledge and proven experience with end-to-end procurement activities.

Role:

  • Reporting to the Head of Procurement, overseeing strategic contract management responsibilities
  • Providing procurement support advice and guidance to staff, ensuring compliance with public sector legislation and internal policies
  • Line management responsibilities of 3 category leads
  • Attending meetings with senior leadership
  • Completing tendering activities for strategic contracts

Person:

  • MCIPS qualification is essential
  • Public or Private sector experience
  • Great understanding and proven experience of contract management
  • Good knowledge of Private Finance Initiatives (PFI’s)
  • *Must have Security Clearance or Management Vetting*
