My client is a large Public Sector organisation based in Cardiff.

Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned FP+A Analyst/Modeller with significant Public Scetor experience to join my client as a Senior FP+A Manager.

You will take a lead role in the development and maintenance of medium to long-term financial models, working with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation and our parent department, to ensure the sustainable funding of the organisation. You will identify risks and opportunities for our medium to long-term funding, taking mitigating actions where required and providing challenge as appropriate. You will have commercial acumen and be able to operate within a potential environment of ambiguity and uncertainty.


You will also produce affordability analysis alongside should cost modelling for our largest and most complex procurements, ensuring compliance with the Green Book best practice, Managing Public Money and other relevant HM Treasury guidance. This includes identifying budgeting and accounting treatments and to advise on the long-term financial impacts of delivering proposed solutions. You will support the business by building relationships with key stakeholders to challenge and influence decision making through expert analysis and interpretation of strategic goals.

Profile

We're looking for a senior financial planning and analysis manager. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a combination of significant experience in financial management and excellent data analysis skills.

With excellent stakeholder management skills you'll be a senior member of the team developing financial awareness and understanding across government

You will have:

  • Significant experience of working in a financial management environment
  • A proven track record of being able to influence stakeholder decision making
  • Experience assessing affordability and value using the 5 case business case mode
  • Practical experience of the application of activity based costing
  • An understanding of the purpose of and development of should cost models
  • Experience as a qualified accountant
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced Alteryx skills

Job Offer

An initial 6 month interim assignment

Salary up to £700 per day via an umbrella company
