Interior Surface Design Engineer

This is a 12-month rolling contract to work for a luxury automotive brand based in Sussex.

Inside IR35 only

Hybrid working available - 3 days onsite, after the initial training period.

My client is looking for an innovative engineer to support their bespoke team in the development of surface materials.

The right candidate must be able to:
* Support with new products, liaise with production and manufacturing to ensure smooth delivery within a set budget.
* Work with manufacturing to incorporate design concepts into bespoke products, ensuring engineered parts can be made and to the optimum quality, cost and meet legal requirements.
* Provide a full business plan, detailing the timings and delivery of key projects.
* Create Design Verification Plan (DVP), produce and supply parts for testing.
* Detail equipment specifications, justification and raise purchase orders. Manage the suppliers, co-ordinate installation and commissioning of new machines and tooling.
* Support with creating a training matrix and train associate/ graduate members of the team in relation to bespoke projects.

Skills & Qualifications

• A qualified engineer to degree level or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Must be able to engage and present to a range of key stakeholders.
• Excellent English language skills.
