Reed is recruiting on behalf of a family-run company based in Warmley, South Glos for a customer-oriented Internal Salesperson.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual who excels in providing an outstanding service to customers.

As an Internal Salesperson, you will be instrumental in servicing our client’s long-standing customers and expanding their territory and finding new markets for their esteemed Trade and DIY product ranges.

Salary: £25k - £28k per annum, with a bonus (roughly around £2.5k per year)

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Manage inbound queries and orders with a focus on cross-selling or up-selling where possible.
  • Keep meticulous records of all communications, both outbound and inbound.
  • Engage in active outbound prospecting across various markets, including DIY, Trade Woodcare, Decorator Centres, Builders Merchants, and Retail markets.
  • Target and prospect contractor end users for specific high-value technical products.
  • Collaborate with different departments to address customer queries, orders, and complaints effectively.
  • Proactively contribute to process and product improvements to enhance customer experiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to develop accounts.
  • Self-motivated with the drive to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with persuasive abilities.
  • High level of integrity and good interpersonal skills.
  • Eager to learn, develop, and open to mentorship.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Keen DIY’er or perhaps works in the trade sector could be beneficial

Working hours are 39.5 hours per week, from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 4:30 pm on Fridays. Consideration for flexible working hours is available.
