International Payroll Specialist

One of our leading clients, who specialise in commercial real estate research, data and analytics industry are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Payroll Specialist to join their finance team. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a payroll specialist or similar role, including experience with payroll processes abroad. As our International Payroll Specialist, you will work closely with the Global Payroll Manager. This position has primary responsibility for processing all aspects of the Bulgaria, UK, Australia, Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands payrolls, including ensuring smooth and timely payroll cycles and acting as the primary customer service contact.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process global payrolls currently including Bulgaria, UK, Australia, Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands monthly runs, liaising with local payroll partners through the Blue Marble payroll platform.
  • Confirm new employee’s data integrates into the Blue Marble payroll platform.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, benefit changes, garnishments, taxes and changes to pay rates with support from People Operations.
  • Process commission, bonus, and other ad hoc payments.·
  • Ensure compliance with local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and answer employee questions about payroll related items as they arise.
  • Submit payroll funding requests to appropriate finance team members.
  • Ensure employee pension payments are remitted timely.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle confidential data securely.
  • International payroll experience is required.
  • Demonstrates a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency with payroll software (Paylocity & Blue Marble experience is a plus).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Fluency in English - verbal and written.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving skills to identify root causes of payroll issues and implement solutions.
  • Capability to organize tasks, manage time well, and create practical plans while improving and adding value to current processes.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

This role, will require to go in to there office - 3 days a week.
