Role Overview

As a Technical Support Specialist for Johnson Controls Security Products, you will support our five leading intrusion brands within EMEA/APAC: Bentel, DSC, Sur-Gard, Visonic, Qolsys, and C24. These brands design top-tier security sensors and wireless systems for residential and light commercial applications. Using advanced wireless technologies, our systems eliminate the need for extensive cabling, ensuring robust, high-quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Provide professional, efficient telephone support for Bentel, DSC, Sur-Gard, Visonic, Qolsys, and C24 products, handling 30-40 customer calls daily.

  • Training & Evaluation: Assist with in-house and external training sessions, product evaluations, and occasional site visits.

  • Product Feedback: Deliver valuable insights and feedback to customers, colleagues, and managers.

  • Dynamic Team Environment: Collaborate with the EMEA/APAC Technical Support Team to enhance JCI processes and products.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues within SLA times.

  • Provide technical support for both application software and hardware products.

  • Work remotely or from a JCI office, reporting to the Intrusion Technical Support Manager, EMEA.

  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment, impacting JCI processes and product development.

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • Strong technical background or associative degree/equivalent.

  • Proficiency with IT and interactive communication tools.

  • Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting.

  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and initiative.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Quick learner with a team-oriented mindset.

  • Flexible to work M-F shift (9 am CET - 6 pm CET) to support all markets.

  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Understanding of networking principles and concepts.

  • Strong Linux experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in one or more major European languages: Italian, German, French, Spanish, Dutch.

  • Experience in the electronic security (intruder systems) or communications industry.

  • Knowledge of electronic security products and electrical concepts.
