Working within a clean lab setting, this is a dual role, combining front of house/goods in work, alongside order fulfilment and dispatch. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, along with excellent problem-solving skills. You will need to be a competent user of computer systems and databases and willing to learn new skills.

This is a full-time position (35 hours a week Mon-Fri) and will be 100% office based. The company offers a good salary, along with an annual bonus and holiday entitlement of 22 days + BH.
PLEASE NOTE: Location is accessible via public transport, but you will need to check route options.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Receive and unload incoming goods and materials from suppliers
  • Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and damage, and report any discrepancies or issues
  • Record and document received items in the inventory management system
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch according to customer or internal requirements

  • Coordinate with the shipping department to schedule and prepare shipments
  • Monitor and analyse inventory levels
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels
  • Ensure that inventory is sufficient to meet demand without overstocking
  • Prepare regular inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics such as turnover rates, stock levels, and slow-moving inventory

  • Utilise ERP systems and Excel to track and analyse data
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of stock
  • Coordinate with production teams to align inventory with manufacturing schedules
  • Work with logistics to manage inbound and outbound shipments and optimize warehouse operations
  • Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes and systems
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and efficiency
  • Implement best practices for inventory control and management

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a supply chain analysis, or a logistical role (including stores)
  • Experience with inventory management or ERP software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
