Our client, a Top 100 UK National law firm is seeking a 1-3 Year PQE IP Litigation Associate to join its well-established IP Litigation Group in London. This group handles a diverse range of disputes and related advisory work, representing clients across a variety of dynamic industries, including fashion, film, video games, esports, e-commerce, music, and merchandise.
Their expertise includes protecting TV formats and characters, software, video games, and emerging technologies like AI. The team also manages a wide range of trademark portfolios for its clients.
The firm is looking for a proactive and adaptable lawyer with the flexibility to handle a wide range of contentious matters. Strong drafting skills and negotiating experience are crucial. While not mandatory, experience in complementary non-contentious IP work—such as drafting IP agreements (licenses, settlement agreements, etc.)—and the ability to address broader contract or tort issues are beneficial. Experience or interest in advertising clearance, ASA disputes, consumer protection issues, and knowledge of industry sectors like tech, retail, film, television, theatre, publishing, or video games is also of interest.
Ideal Candidate:
The firm seeks a candidate who can provide top-tier legal advice that is pragmatic, commercial, and free from jargon. Attention to detail and a strong command of written English are essential. The role requires a team player who is equally comfortable handling challenging tasks and important but less demanding responsibilities.
Enjoy an array of benefits including mind and body wellness sessions and massages, flexible working, interest free season ticket loans, and various other schemes to maintain a healthy work life balance.
