IT Audit Specialist ISA 315 - Salary up to £65,000 pa plus a strong bonus and benefits package, excellent company culture!

On behalf of a leading London based Audit and Accounting firm we are seeking a skilled IT Audit Specialist to join a dynamic team. This role involves working with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors, including corporate and non-profit. You will assist in external audit assignments, review clients' IT controls, and report findings to the Engagement Manager and Partner in compliance with ISA 315 requirements.

On site in office 3 days per week typically, 2 days WFH, hybrid working

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established audit methodologies.
  • Conduct IT risk assessments in accordance with ISA 315 requirements.
  • Understand and evaluate key risks identified by clients and the controls implemented to mitigate these risks.
  • Scope and plan detailed IT audit assignments based on client needs and risk assessments.
  • Execute various audit tests/procedures and interpret test results.
  • Prepare high-quality IT audit reports and working paper files for internal management and partner review.
  • Lead individual assignments, ensuring they are delivered within budget and on schedule.
  • Seek guidance from managers and partners when necessary.
  • Incorporate financial, operational, IT, and compliance risks into the audit work program.
  • Identify IT security and cyber risks, providing appropriate, practical, and cost-effective recommendations.
  • Manage multiple IT risk assessments and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Support Partners and Directors in key business development activities.
  • Line manage IT auditors assisting with IT risk assessments.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Awareness of ISA 315 requirements for IT risk assessments.
  • Relevant professional experience in IT audit.
  • CISA qualified or equivalent, or currently working towards CISA certification.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering IT audits.
  • Experience in identifying and assessing complex IT risks and controls, and relating them to the broader business environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with data analytics.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to execute audits with minimal support.
  • Proactive and can-do attitude.
