About the role

Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for an IT Audit Manager to join the IT Audit Team. The IT Audit Manager is responsible for leading end to end IT internal audit engagements which includes ensuring all audit work is performed to a high standard, managing relationships with stakeholders and providing assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management by delivering clear audit reports that challenge management to continually improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with the Head of Audit for direction; but ultimately lead the end the end audit.
  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships across the business.
  • Helping HL accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management and control processes across all business areas, and influence management to make improvements.
  • Applying strong analytical skills to consider how data can be mined for data lead insights and effective audit testing.
  • Working on one's own initiative or lead small teams that may include third party auditors.
  • Confidently feed into the audit planning process using a strategic standpoint, built on experience.
  • Mentor and coach others in the team.
  • Always seek to consider improvements in methodology and general ways of working including maintenance of an effective QA framework.

About you

  • Ideally, you'll be CISA qualified or working towards your CISA qualification, and/or other relevant qualifications such as CRISC/CISSP displaying growth mindset.
  • Experienced in auditing technical Security and Resilience IT controls across the technology stack, for example at application and infrastructure layers.
  • Experienced in auditing transformation/change, in particular IT change.
  • Working knowledge of data analytics.
  • Proven delivery of independently managing end to end audits with high quality reporting.
  • Strong analytical/communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Internal IT audit experience within financial services is preferred.

Interview process

There will be a two-stage interview process for this role and a task. The 2nd stage interview will be face to face in our Bristol office.

Working Schedule

This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office 2 days a week.
