Role Profile - Overview

SSE Corporate is the hub of our shared service operations that support our core energy generation, transmission, and distribution businesses. The Integration Cloud development role will work collaboratively with our HR, IT and SI Partner to enable transformative digital change in how SSE:

(1) Streamlines core HR business processes to optimise operational efficiencies and reduce administrative overhead.

(2) Optimises workforce planning and scheduling to meet operational needs.

(3) Enhances Talent Management capabilities to align learning pathways with business objectives for improved performance and growth.

(4) Seamlessly integrates Payroll processes with third-party applications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.

(5) Continues to maintain Oracle EBS processes following the migration of HRMS Core Data to Oracle HCM.

Key Responsibilities:

· Integration Impact Analysis: Perform analysis of Oracle EBS technical integration specifications, code packages and procedures as part of technical impact assessments to be completed as part of planning the transition of existing integrations to Oracle HCM.

· Data Mapping: Define the data mapping of Oracle HCM data structure to Oracle EBS business objects including employee person/assignment data, HR Enterprise and Organisation master data. Where required to support Oracle HCM developers to perform data mapping between Oracle HCM and third party applications

· Integration Design: Collaborate with Oracle HCM developers to create the detailed design documentation for integration(s) between Oracle HCM and Oracle EBS, including defining the integration points, data flows, integration method, data transformation/business logic and error handling routines.

· Collaboration: To work closely with the functional consultants to ensure the integration design aligns with HR business processes and requirements.

· Security & Compliance: Ensure that integrations are compliant with internal security policies and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX).

· Development: Develop integration components to connect Oracle HCM with Oracle EBS, including:

· File-based data imports (FBDI).

· API-based integrations (using Oracle Integration Cloud, Web Services, and SOA Suite).

· Custom concurrent programs in Oracle EBS to handle inbound and outbound data.

· Implement custom reports, interfaces, and PL/SQL procedures to support HCM-EBS integrations.

· Testing & Debugging: Perform thorough unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality code and efficient data flows.

· Integration Testing (SIT) & Validation: Execute SIT to validate the integration and accurate flow of data between Oracle HCM and Oracle EBS. When required to complete root cause analysis of SIT failures, test and implement fixes.

· Performance Optimisation: Monitor and optimise the performance of integrations, focusing on throughput, latency, and scalability.

· User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support UAT by providing technical assistance and ensuring the integrated system meets the functional requirements. When required to resolve UAT issues related to the integration based on user feedback.

· Go-Live and Post Go Live Support: Provide technical support during the Go-Live phase, ensuring integrations are functioning correctly.Address any critical issues during the warranty period.

· Knowledge Transfer: Create comprehensive handover documentation/troubleshooting guide and provide side-by side learning to SSE BAU team.

· Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with Oracle's latest integration tools, frameworks, and best practices. Continuously improve integration processes and solution design.

Oracle EBS: Strong technical knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite modules specifically: Human Resources (HRMS), Oracle Projects, Oracle Financials, Procurement and Payroll.

· Integration Tools: Expertise in integration tools such as Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), BPEL, Web Services (SOAP/REST), File-Based Data Import (FBDI), and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).

· SQL & PL/SQL: Advanced skills in writing and debugging SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.

· Demonstrable experience implementing integrations with Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), or similar integration tools.

· Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and database integration for working with relational data stores.

· Web Technologies: Experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, and other integration data formats.

· Oracle HCM: In-depth knowledge of Oracle HCM Core HR Business Object structure. Working knowledge of HCM Time and Labour, Absence Management and Payroll

· Middleware: Familiarity with Oracle OIC Middleware, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and other middleware technologies that perform data orchestration, transformation and integration.

· Knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Integration Cloud or similar cloud integration platforms is preferable.
