We are seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to lead a critical finance systems project at a prestigious university.

Client Details

My client is a leading Unisersity who are looking for an Implementation Manager. They are based in London and its a 5 months contrcat with the possibililty of extension.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new finance system, with a focus on planning, service readiness, cutover, and hypercare.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Facilitate readiness assessments, testing cycles, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live preparations.
  • Oversee hypercare support to resolve post-implementation issues and ensure user adoption and system stability.
  • Ensure alignment with university policies, finance governance, and broader transformation strategies.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to senior stakeholders, project sponsors, and wider user groups.

Profile

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing large-scale implementations involving complex planning and service readiness activities.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one successful finance system migration, ideally within the higher education or public sector.
  • Solid understanding of cutover planning and hypercare delivery, including risk management and incident resolution post go-live.
  • Previous experience working with Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or other well-known finance platforms.
  • Experience migrating finance systems hosted on SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience delivering projects within a university or not-for-profit environment.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM).

Job Offer

  • £600-£625 Per Day
  • 5 Months contract
