Attwood Perks is partnering with a true people-first business in Ipswich who are looking for an IT Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

As IT Manager in this evolving business, you will have a solid technical skill set, a hands-on approach, and experience of leading a small team ideally within a technical environment.

You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the IT service delivery processes to meet the needs of their dynamic business, in addition to collaborating with staff and Stakeholders to ensure the effective deployment of technology solutions, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure a high level of satisfaction.

This is a crucial hire for the business as you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects, developing new and existing 3rd party relationships, and working closely with Senior Stakeholders to help develop and implement IT strategies to support the future growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT Team in their duties, acting as a role model to ensure high standards
  • Manage technical support systems and operations, reporting incident, problem and KPI metrics to Senior Stakeholders
  • Provide advanced support and training for the IT Team acting as a point of escalation for complex and high priority requests as required
  • Manage and maintain the cyber and information security solutions, monitoring and responding where appropriate to provide system assurance
  • Manage IT expenditure on a day-to-day basis and assist in the definition of budget and corporate plans
  • Ensure all IT and IS records, designs, processes and procedure documents are accurate and up-to-date
  • Identify opportunities for utilisation of new technologies - taking action to design and implement changes, providing expert advice or escalating for action as required
  • Facilitate engagement with stakeholders at all levels and third-party suppliers as required for the effective provision of technology-based services to the company
  • Deliver technical leadership of systems infrastructure change, service upgrades and implementation projects
  • Ensure effective co-operation between the IT team and all other areas of the business to ensure delivery of effective, efficient and high-quality outcomes
  • Proactively assess and challenge the robustness of procedures and processes where they may not be designed adequately or not functioning effectively via incident reporting and escalation to management.

Your experience:

  • Strong understanding of IT, particularly Microsoft Desktop/Server and business tools
  • Design of Active Directory, Group Policy, Service Deployment and Microsoft servers
  • Knowledge of cloud computing and cloud platform administration
  • Proven experience supporting of Microsoft 365 / Azure environments
  • Strong knowledge of network and associated security principals
  • Experience with enterprise security applications and management
  • Proactive team player with ability to build relationships
  • In-depth problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Clear, accurate, effective and timely communication at all levels
  • Able to identify, explore and exploit opportunities for service improvement
  • Effectively prioritise own and team requests/workload to ensure that they are dealt with in order of priority
  • Able to effectively delegate work to colleagues and escalate issues as required
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail throughout all aspects of the role

**This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid-working position. Applications will only be considered from people who can comfortably commute to the Ipswich office at least two days per week.
