IT Procurement Lead

Our client is seeking a proactive IT Procurement Lead to join their team in Leeds, with the flexibility of hybrid working.

This role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape the IT Procurement function from the ground up, driving cost savings and optimising IT supplier relationships.

The Role: As the IT Procurement Lead, you will:

• Manage and optimize a £53m IT budget across various sub-categories.
• Collaborate with the Group CIO and IT team to identify and deliver value, including significant savings opportunities.
• Become the trusted partner for all 3rd party negotiations, ensuring tasks are transferred to Procurement and executed to a high standard.
• Build strong relationships with senior commercial contacts within the supplier base, ensuring optimal terms and cost reductions.
• Advise on negotiation strategies and value levers based on purchase types.
• Negotiate robust contracts that ensure flexibility and overall value.

• Proven experience managing end-to-end IT procurement categories including software, hardware, on-premises & cloud solutions, telecommunications, and networks.
• Deep knowledge of commercial and contractual negotiations with large IT OEM providers.
• Experience in identifying and developing innovative solutions with business partners.
• Strong influencing skills to maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• A keen understanding of risk and the ability to mitigate it through various strategies.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
