Role: Senior IT Procurement Manager

Salary: Up to £95K + Excellent Benefits

Location: Birmingham (2 days p/w on site)

Are you an IT Procurement Manager - with experience of business partnering, as well as delivery of complex IT sourcing projects across Cloud, DevOps, ITO and Software? This role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in the development of a Greenfield Procurement function, alongside a newly appointed Head of Procurement, for a PE backed Wealth & Investment Management firm.

Role:
Key to your success in this role will be the ability to develop key stakeholder relationships with the IT community, positioning Procurement as a "value-add" business partner. Ultimately, you will be tasked with driving commercial value across a broad range of business critical IT & Technology Procurement projects - supporting the organisation's digital journey.

You will need to:

  • Be commercially astute, financially literate and legally competent to negotiate contracts
  • Have strong influencing skills and leadership, with the gravitas to negotiate credibly with suppliers and engage with the CIO and the executive management team
  • Be results driven with a track record of achievement while adaptable in the face of adversity
  • Familiar with operating in a regulatory environment

Experience:

  • IT Procurement & Category Management experience
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes and principles, commercial and legal constructs, and financial models.
  • Skills to influence and drive effective change in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivation, tenacity, and a focus on delivery
  • Gravitas, the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Ideally Degree and MCIPS qualified.
