This role is to support a global leader in the Manufacturing space. The role is to support Information Security / Data Protection initiatives and operational IT Security tasks, to minimise risks consistent with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT Security advice to business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain policies and controls.
  • Support third-party and supplier compliance initiatives.
  • React and respond to day-to-day security related service desk tickets.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational compliance and reporting.
  • Create and develop IT Security improvement plans.
  • Complete Vulnerability management initiatives.
  • Manage a rolling penetration testing programme of work.
  • Support Vendor Assurance assessments for new services and applications.

Critical Competencies for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in IT Security operations.
  • Knowledge of IT Security technologies and experience working with associated tooling including MDR, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, endpoint / server protection and incident response.
  • An understanding of and experience dealing with Cloud architecture, networking and firewalls. § Understanding of security standards (e.g., GDPR, RIPA, ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2).
  • Security risk management (including assessment and treatment).
  • Understanding of IT Service Management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
