As part of a technical refresh programme my public sector client are rolling out a state-of-the-art audio visual system across the whole organisation and require an experience delivery ,manager to come on board to pull together vendors and their own technical team to delivery this project over the course of the next year

Responsibilities

  • Manage the successful delivery of one more complex technical IT implementations on time, to budget and quality, through appropriate adherence to technical and architectural standards, reporting to the Head of Digital Strategy & Transformation and ultimately bringing the implementation(s) to successful completion.
  • Prior to the commencement of a technical implementation, lead the business in exploring options, fully costing these, identifying the optimum technically feasible solution, and defining realistic and measurable benefits (including establishing suitable benefit owners and putting in place appropriate benefit realisation plans), to support informed decision making.
  • Build, maintain and execute a fully integrated, realistic and deliverable end to end technical implementation plan (including any standalone contingency, transition, testing and/or training plans), identifying key milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, critical path and associated assumptions, in line with any overarching departmental plans (as applicable).
  • Work with the technical teams to support and enable delivery, integrated with utilising departmental management processes and business decision-making bodies as appropriate.
  • Monitor and manage resources involved with the technical implementation, forecasting future requirements and ensuring value for money
  • Work with the Change Manager Manage the change control process, approving to ensure all potential change requests follow the change process, establishing their potential consequences, assessing against pre-agreed tolerances and putting forward change requests for approval by the Head of Digital Strategy & Transformation, where appropriate.

Essential experience

  • 10 year + experience as a Service Delivery manager
  • ITIL qualified
  • Public sector experience
  • Experience in delivering Audio Visual programmes of work
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Strong vendor management
