IT Support Desk Engineer

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire | Hybrid

Up to £27,500

An IT Support Desk Engineer is required to join a leading provider of business phone systems and IT solutions. To prove exceptional technical support to valued clients and play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience.

The Role

As an IT Support Desk Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for all clients, providing timely and effective technical support for a range of services. Resolving 1st and 2nd line technical support for end-users and troubleshooting. Assisting the installation engineers, which may include programming routers and headsets.

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Logging support cases by category and priority
  • Resolving 1st and 2nd line support queries
  • Providing incident management to priority cases
  • Meeting SLAs within set times
  • Assisting installation engineers with pre/post-installation support
  • some programming of routers and headsets
  • basic user and routing configuration on systems

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

  • Key systems such as Avaya IP Office, 8x8 and 3CX
  • Background working at an MSP or telecoms company
  • Internet connectivity including leased lines, FTTP and SOGEA
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving
  • Proactive, a desire to learn and develop skills
  • Great customer service and effective professional communication
  • Interest in technology
  • (Desirable) - exposure to networking, firewalls - 1st and 2nd line support
  • (Desirable) - MS Teams/ Teams Telephony
  • (Desirable) - Microsoft Dynamics 365
