IT Support Engineer

Location - Ramsgate, Kent

Salary - £23,400 per annum DOE

Benefits - up to £2,500 performance bonus + EO profit share + overtime paid at time and a half/time in lieu

Hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 day from home)

We have an amazing opportunity in Ramsgate for an IT Support Engineer to work for one of our clients.

This is a Monday to Friday 9 am - 5 pm role. Additional hours will be expected once you pass your probationary period and will be paid at time and a half rate or time in lieu - all additional shifts are on a rota basis.

Responsibilities for the role of IT Support Engineer:

    • Provide desktop, laptop, and server support, troubleshoot issues reported by customers or monitoring systems, and provide solutions to incidents and problems.
    • Manage and configure Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server, Windows 10, Office365, and various customer-related software.
    • Handle networking tasks, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, firewalls, Access Points, and network switches.
    • Prioritise and manage multiple support requests, ensuring accurate documentation and clear communication with customers.
    • Contribute to internal policies, procedures, and processes, and perform other duties as deemed reasonable.

Skills and Experience for the Role of IT Support Engineer:

    • Familiar with SLAs
    • Exceptional customer service skills, communication, and people skills
    • Passion and understanding of IT and the technology landscape
    • Fast learner with an ability to work on their own as well as part of a team
    • Good time management
    • Ability to solve problems
    • Proven ability to work under pressure
