IT Systems Support Technician

£32,000 + benefits including 33 days holiday

Forward Role is excited to be supporting a thriving retailer based in Salford that are looking for an IT Support Technician to join their team, they’ve grown incredibly over the past couple of years and have awards to show for it!
Role Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for technical issues and user inquiries.
- Resolve problems or escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support.
- Provide hardware support for PCs, Macs, handheld devices, printers, and networking, including configuration and repairs.
- Set up and maintain workstations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures.
- Document issues and resolutions for future reference and feedback.
- Liaise with third-party providers for second- and third-line support.
- Perform system administration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Take a proactive approach to IT security and regulatory compliance.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in IT support for various business systems, ideally in retail or e-commerce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to train end-users, both in groups and one-on-one.
- Experience with Sage 200, Linnworks, or Peoplevox is advantageous but transferable skills from other systems are welcome.
- Experience with hardware support, system troubleshooting, and IT security.
This role is 5 days on site in their stunning Salford office, you will get flexibility to choose your start and finish times.
