Role: IT Systems Engineer
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE

My client are looking for a standout IT Systems Engineer who can use top solutions to provide excellent support to users everywhere. You'll identify areas for improvement, maintain operational resilience, and assist in our growth.

Responsibilities:

* Install and manage Lab (FPGA) and Data Centre solutions
* Administer servers and storage
* Provide 3rd line support to the global Service Delivery team
* Configure and manage Microsoft 365 tenants
* Handle authentication and application management
* Manage our Cloud presence
* Test and improve user experiences

Requirements:

* Strong problem-solving skills
* Experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows (server, desktop, dual-boot)
* OS and application patching / WSUS
* Systems monitoring - Grafana / Zabbix
* Physical system setup skills
* Hands-on engineering skills: soldering, using scopes, testbenches, etc.
* Experience with M365/O365
* Active Directory and/or Azure management
* Basic network support knowledge - DHCP, DNS, routing, etc.
* Experience with Microsoft Exchange Hybrid environments
* Backup or DR experience, preferably with Commvault

Nice to Have:

* ITIL qualification
* Data Centre and/or ESD Lab experience
* Experience with an international user base
* Bash/Python scripting skills
* MySQL database experience
* SharePoint administration
* VMWare/Horizon administration
* Enterprise storage experience
