The role – IT Systems Engineer

The salary - £30k - £35k

The location – Glasgow

There is a requirement to be on-site for this role.

I’m working with a market leading organisation who are continuing to grow on their digital journey and are looking to add an IT Systems Engineer to their team. The successful candidate will work across multiple specialised IT systems within the engineering field, supporting the organisation and helping to maintain existing systems while resolving service requests through comprehensive diagnosis and troubleshooting.  The role will also support with the ongoing digital evolution, working closely with various business teams to support the digitisation of processes to increase their efficiency.

Your day-to-day:

• You’ll provide day-to-day IT support across a number of teams, supporting business teams with specialist systems support.
• Ensure business-as-usual changes and support is smoothly delivered, adapting to operational demands.
• Support with the ongoing digitisation and automation of processes and the upgrading of technical systems.
• Support with servers, databases and resources.
• Support with the technical delivery of projects.
• Understand and document requirements in-line with the upgrading of digital systems.
• Assist with the support of developed low code applications.

About you:

• You’ll have experience in the support of specialised systems, particularly within the engineering field.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshooting problems across the suite of systems and applications.
• Experience of IT systems, including the technical development, testing and full implementation of systems.
• Experience with the configuration of maintenance systems.
• Experience working with stakeholders and explaining technical requirements to non-technical users.
• Knowledge of low code platforms including power platform is desirable.
