Java Developer - 6 months - Contract - Glasgow - Inside IR35

Our client, a leading financial services company, is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their team for a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled developer to work on high-impact projects within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing leadership and guidance within the team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform key decisions and contribute to project success.

  • Engage with multiple teams to provide solutions to complex problems, both within the immediate team and across other teams.

  • Take responsibility for team decisions, ensuring efficient and effective outcomes.

  • Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members to maintain high-quality development practices.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in Java development.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced proficiency in Java is essential.

  • Core Java

  • Java Full Stack Development experience, with a focus on Spring Boot (Advanced and Intermediate proficiency respectively).

  • Strong experience in designing and developing innovative solutions using Java.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance.
