Our client is an established high-end joinery and furniture manufacturer dealing with projects for both residential and commercial clients. They are currently looking for a Joinery Foreman to join their hardworking and dedicated team in Hastings, East Sussex.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable workshop joinery experience, have a proven track record of managing a busy workshop, experience of managing staff and meeting deadlines and be competent in both traditional joinery and cabinetry. As a Joinery Foreman you will undertake and coordinate varied, challenging and high profile projects for both residential and commercial clients.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Demonstrable workshop joinery experience
  • Have a proven track record of managing a busy workshop
  • Experience of managing staff and meeting deadlines
  • Be competent in both traditional joinery and cabinetry
  • Be creative, innovative and flexible
  • Have good problem-solving ability and an excellent attention to detail

Your duties as a Joinery Foreman would be:

  • Managing team of joiners and an apprentice
  • Overseeing machinery maintenance program
  • Reading and working from drawings
  • Input to design team during pre-production (design) phase
  • Working as part of a team on a range of varying projects

Salary:

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours:

  • 36 hours per week over 4 days
  • Occasional requirements for evening and weekend overtime work
