Junior Accountant - Hybrid

Our hugely successful client is looking for a junior accountant to join their team, based in London Colney, Hertfordshire. You can choose to work 2 days per week hydrid / from home.

About the role

The junior accountant will be trained to carry out accounting tasks across a range of areas including:

• Bookkeeping
• VAT Returns
• Statutory Accounts
• Corporation Tax Returns
• Personal Tax Returns
• Various other support tasks such as contacting HMRC,

Requirements

• 5 4-9 grade GCSEs (or equivalent) including mathematics
• 3 A-C grade A-levels (or equivalent)
• Competent use of Excel and Word

Ideal but not essential Requirements

• University qualification at 2:2 or higher
• Ideally Some practice experience
• Already studying for professional qualification (AAT, ACA or ACCA)
• Client handling/management experience
• Experience in the use of Xero/Quickbooks, Tax Calc or Sage 50 Accounts.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch and they offer hybrid working with a maximum of two days WFH. Monday’s is an office day for all members of the team.

The practice is closed between Xmas Eve and New Year which are additional days given as annual holiday allowance.
