Do you have previous experience as a Legal Cashier?

Are you a hardworking Finance Assistant who is ready for your next challenge?

Perhaps you have been contemplating a career in the Legal sector.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected legal firm that has been operating for over 40 years.

You will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for all accounts duties. Supporting the busy finance office with the accurate processing of both office and client accounts, maintaining the purchase ledger, reporting cash flow and supporting month-end processes.

Ensuring compliance at all times with SRA accounts rules and maintaining confidentiality regarding the firm and its clients is key.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience of SRA account rules, however if you're from a finance background and willing to learn then you'll want to keep reading.

You'll have the confidence to use your initiative, recognise issues and communicate them effectively with the Finance Manager.

Attention to detail and accuracy are second nature to you and you'll demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to work.

Think quality over quantity, you won't be processing a high volume of transactions, but they are very high value, so you'll add to your experience and skill set.

The finance team is the 'go-to' for every department within the firm, so you will be an integral part of the team to assist with queries and advice, providing professional support.

There are a lot of learning opportunities and you'll receive support from team members with a wealth of experience.

You will benefit from a shorter-than-average 35-hour week and have some flexibility on start and finish times.

You'll be offered a study support package, whether that's continuing with your AAT studies, or perhaps you would like to study for an ILFM Diploma.

You'll be based in their Sunderland office, located in the city centre close to main transport routes.
