Junior Product & Proposition Manager

The Role:

  • Work alongside the team of Product & Proposition Managers to support the management, development, and governance of products and propositions across the full product range of banking, treasury, lending, and wealth management products for private and commercial clients.
  • Where applicable, to place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers; and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Product & Proposition Managers to identify and assess opportunities to enhance products and propositions aligned to client and business needs
  • Obtain client insights and conduct research to understand client needs, provide analysis of competitors and industry to enable informed product and proposition decisions
  • Support the preparation of business cases for new products and propositions, changes to existing, and proposals to decommission products
  • Coordinate Product Governance Committee meetings, minutes and actions, maintain the record of products (product register)
  • Play an active role in projects, lead working groups and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to enable collaboration
  • Support the effective distribution of products and propositions by designing client journeys and operational procedures
  • Perform governance activities including product testing and fair value assessments to ensure quality standards and user expectations are met
  • Assist in co-ordinating product launches ensuring a smooth rollout
  • Perform regular and ad hoc product and service reviews including post implementation reviews following new product launches
  • Continuous development of MI and reporting to evidence and monitor client outcomes
  • Proactively monitor MI/data reports, provide regular product & proposition performance updates and reports, identify indicators of client harm in particular for vulnerable clients
  • Maintain product & proposition documents to ensure product literature is accurate and supports client understanding
  • Assist with oversight of 3rd party providers and product manufacturers, e.g. pension providers
  • Proactive input into the development of the product framework to improve governance, control and monitoring
  • Manage risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures

Experience:

  • Experience in a related role within financial services
  • Awareness of the regulatory environment e.g. New Consumer Duty
  • Strong collaboration and team work skills
  • Good analytical ability and data analysis skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage time
  • Broad understanding and interest in the products offered by the business
