Introduction:

My client is an established class-leading company, with a talented team who support clients by creating outstanding visitor experiences. Their work includes design & production of visitor audio and multimedia tours, online digital and virtual exhibitions, apps, film production, AV, consultation, staffing and technical support.

Over recent years this exciting business has broadened their range of services, developed new products, entered new sectors and expanded into international markets. It’s been fun and very busy for them.

As a result of this success, my client is creating a new Business Development Manager role to drive the business into new markets - which they have already succeeded on a small scale.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager role is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate who is looking to develop their Sales career and be fully accountable for winning new business selling film, media production digital services.

My client is based in Havant however hybrid working is supported. The OTE for this postion is £45k with a basic salary of £26k.

The role of the Business Development Manager:

  • Deliver on the sales strategy for new business generation
  • Identify and nurture new business opportunities (inbound & outbound)
  • Actively engage with the market, partners & stakeholders
  • Create high quality tailored proposals
  • Support the Marketing Manager with campaigns and lead generation activities
  • Follow trends in the sector, particularly around media production, digital tools and digital Marketing

Essential skills required for the job:

  • Minimum of 2 years Sales experience ideally within the media/digital industry (not essential)
  • Excellent telephone manner and confident in cold calling
  • Excellent written & verbal skills, internally and with clients, stakeholders & peers
  • Attention to detail - excellent commercials (you know your numbers) and effective proposal documents
  • Multi-tasking & prioritising - nurturing opportunities at all stages of the sales process
  • Office 365 (high competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential)
  • Consultative selling approach - ability to develop excellent product/service knowledge
  • Evaluating client briefs/requirements

Working hours and benefits:

  • Working hous Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
