Key Stage 2 Behaviour Mentor
A primary school in Oldham is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Stage 2 Behaviour Mentor to join their team. The school believe in creating a nurturing, happy and inclusive environment where learning is safe, stimulating and provides challenging, fun, and meaningful experiences. They aim to provide opportunities for all of pupils, staff, and families to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners and purposeful global citizens. The school strive to deliver an exceptional education through an innovative and inclusive syllabus. The school have worked in partnerships with staff, children, and parents to create a welcoming atmosphere that values each student, ensuring that their journey through primary school is gratifying and fulfilling. Responsibilities:
Provide individual support for pupils with SEMH needs.
Work cohesively with the SEND team to differentiate appropriately pitched work.
Deliver targeted interventions to improve emotional development.
Provide a safe and engaging learning space for children to access work.
Provide regular updates to the class teacher and senior leadership team.
Attend and contribute to meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
Experience of working with primary aged children, particularly in the area of behaviour and emotional well-being
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and positive attitude
A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience
Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
