Kids Club Coordinator - Stoke-on-Trent

Academics are working closely with a good Stoke primary school to help support their before and after school club from September.

Their kids club provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children from Nursery to Year 6. Morning Session: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM, Afternoon Session: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM 5 days a week for 12 weeks.

It is designed to cater to the diverse needs of children, offering a range of play-based activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development.

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kids Club Coordinator to support their team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and have the skills to plan and facilitate engaging activities. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the Kids Club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage children in a variety of play-based activities.
  • Provide breakfast in the morning session and a snack during the afternoon session for children staying until 5:30 PM.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on their child's activities and well-being.
  • Assist with the set-up and clean-up of the Kids Club space.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and manage any necessary administrative tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children aged 3 to 11 in a childcare or educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for child development and play-based learning.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent) are desirable.
